This can be a very effective treatment for people who may have experienced a difficult past and who have struggled to change how they are feeling and coping to life events.

Therapies

Schema Therapy is often a longer term therapy and it can be useful for clients who have experienced other therapies without successful change. It looks at the deeply held schemas we may have about ourselves and how they are activated in situations. Through exploring the schemas and coping response, the client and therapist use the therapeutic relationship to enable longer term change.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, or CBT is often a short term goal focused therapy that looks at the thoughts and behaviours that someone may have in a particular event. By aiming to change these two areas, it can lead to a change in our emotions. This therapy may be more effective for clients not wanting to look in depth at past events which may be underpinning current problems.

In addition to in-person sessions, we offer online therapy to provide convenience and accessibility for individuals seeking support. Our online therapy services maintain the same level of professionalism and effectiveness as our in-person sessions.I offer EMDR therapy online, Internal Family Systems Therapy online, and Schema Therapy online and it is equally as effective as face to face therapy.
